(9 days post op)...Initially I was turned off by Dr. Hickman's dismissive bedside manner. However, his PA was much more personable and answered all my questions. He did a great job at trying to calm my fears. I had no concerns about Dr Hickman's ability to perform surgery well. He is an expert at what he does. I was terrified by what was coming after. I won't say it hasn't been painful and difficult, but I believe that things have gone smoothly because of Dr Hickman's excellent surgical skills. His office has been very responsive to questions and concerns and I know where I will be going when I have to have the other knee done.
Horrible horrible person. Not only did he maybe spend 5 minutes with me but he was rude and could tell he was in a rush. I went in for my knee and hip. He looked at my knee once and did even look at my hip. He's nurse did 10x more work than he did. Don't EVER GO THERE!
All I can say is that Dr. Hickman was a great surgeon for my two knee replacements. It was about 7 years ago and I was 39 years old. He was the only doctor who didn't hesitate doing the surgery with me being so young. I had my surgeries 3 weeks apart. Thank you Dr. Hickman.
Horrible Customer Service from the office. You can never talk to a live person especially for a quick question. You always have to leave a message and hope they call you back a a convenient time. with as much money as this office makes and as many patients they have you would expect they could run an office better. I am thinking of finding a new doctor. Just because of this. Hickman did a great job on my knee but it hell trying to get a hold of his office.
I adore Dr. Hickman. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable, but he is a good man with a terrific "bedside manner". He takes time to explain things and is pleasant to be with. I have recommended him many times to friends and family!
